Today was beautiful
In all of it’s glory
The trees were giving praises up to God
As I looked I praised him too in my heart
The birds were flying up high in the air
With no not a worry or even a care
But as I sat there and looked up to the sky
I asked why should the trees praise my God and not I
So , within my heart I began to sing
And oh what joy my soul did bring
I praise God for the mystery of being born on this earth
I praise him for watching over my soul since my birth
I praise him for things that are seen and unseen too
I praise him for all of the blesses that he has given me too
I praise him for my life strength and health
I praise him for his love which is my greatest wealth
I praise him for the sunshine and the rain
I praise him for knowing his children all by name
I praise him for forgiving all of my sins
So that before my life is over this race I can win
I praise him for the bread that is on the table
I praise him for all of my healing – I know he is able
I praise him for dear friends and a new life
I praise him for protecting me from all danger and strife
I praise him for the bright starry skies up above
I praise him for filling me with his spirit full of love
I praise him I praise him for dying on the cross
And restoring to every one of us all that was lost
I praise him for redemption from a dead life
I praise him for deliverance from all the devil’s devices
I praise you I praise you for not only the trees
For it is me dear Lord I fall down on my knees
To give you the praise for you are so holy
In in spite of myself a soul that is lowly
You said come unto me and I’ll give you a new life
I said yes dear Lord make me your wife
A bride without spot or wrinkle so clean
And I will with you in heaven as I sing
I sing praise to you a God that is so worthy
From a child that was born so filthy and unworthy
But you dear Lord has cloth me with your power
And because of your sacrifice you are my watchtower
My bridge over troubled waters you are
And now I am as shiny as one of your stars
Now when it is my time to leave this old earth
I will not be last but I will be first
For you said in your word the the last shall be first
And my dear Lord I thank you for redeeming me from the curse
For what the law could not deliver you did
And cast down all vain imaginations and sins
So, I praise my Lord . I praise you I do
And when my life is over I will forever praise you!
